Short: Jay Miner's tale of the Amiga Author: Jay Miner Uploader: benchie cup portal com Type: text/misc Architecture: generic Jay Miner, "Father of the Amiga", was beloved by many. His death was a great loss to the Amiga community at large, and specifically to us here in the Bay Area where he resided and had his BBS. His "Mission BBS" might have been one of the first Amiga-only BBSs in the country. He and I had neigh- boring boards, shared members for a number of years and used to hang out in Chat mode for hours on end. With his passing, my board is now the oldest board in the area, an honor I just as soon would do without. He was a great inspiration to me when I was just a budding SysOp. We all owe him. This is his story of how our little Ami grew and flowered, with pic. - TBM
