Short: Upbeat OctaMED SoundStudio mod Author: Stephen Williams Uploader: Stephen Williams Type: mods/8voic Architecture: generic .----------------------------------------------------. | Condition: Green! | | An OctaMED SoundStudio module, by Stephen Williams | `----------------------------------------------------' This mod has something of a history. The melody was written sometime in 1994; the first version of the mod was optioned by a friend of mine for use as the title music of a game which he never finished. In 1995, I remixed the module; gave it a new percussion line, some new samples, and changed the running order a little. This new mix sounded a lot better than the original, but I was still unhappy with it; I tweaked the mix further and released this second remix onto the Aminet (mods/med/condgreen.lha) in 1996. In 1997, I started work on another remix; this time, I expanded the module to eight channels. The percussion line was again reworked, and a lot of samples changed. The resulting mix sounds quite a lot different from the first three mixes. This mix was completed in May 1998, and is the version included here. The original version of the module was written with either MED 3.10 or OctaMED 2.00; I can't remember which. Subsequent four-channel mixes were completed using OctaMED 4.00. The eight-channel mix was prepared using OctaMED SoundStudio 1.03. In its present form, Condition: Green! must be played using a version of OctaMED SoundStudio or OctaMEDPlayer which knows about the MMD3 module format. All recent versions for both AmigaOS and Windows should cope okay. This piece of music will never be finished. I will never be 100% satisfied with the mix. I will probably keep remixing it for ever. The copyright on this module is held by Stephen Williams. It may not be distributed in an altered form. Unaltered copies may be uploaded anywhere and distributed on any CD-ROM compilations, provided no profit is made from them. I'm not making any money out of this module, and neither can you ;-) Enjoy the mod, -Stephen -- [[ http://www.nysa.u-net.com/ ]]
