Short: Flexible graphic MIDI handling -- V2.0 Author: pete@jwgibbs.cchem.berkeley.edu (Pete Goodeve) Uploader: pete jwgibbs cchem berkeley edu Type: mus/midi Architecture: m68k-amigaos Date: 1995.06.08 The Music Web ============= -- Second Edition -- The Music Web is an extensible, interactive, graphic-diagram platform on which you can build `webs' of elements that manipulate MIDI event streams. Modules with specific functions can be `plugged together' by placing icons in a diagram and linking them to form a network; these two-dimensional, interlinked chains of elements give your creativity full rein to explore new effects. [Caveat: the name has nothing to do with the World Wide Web! It was unfortunately chosen before the latter became well-known.] Element modules in this edition include note filters and modifiers, an `Instrument' that plays 8SVX sample files, recording and playback, and a MIDI file player. Full documentation is included in the archive. It is shareware -- suggested donation $30 US. The system requires AmigaDOS 2.04 or later to run, and really needs a fast machine to be useful ('020 or better). A MIDI interface connected to the Serial Port is also required, of course. This archive will unpack into the `MusicWeb' directory, from where you should be able to run it directly. Please though, to avoid frustration, check out the README in that directory before trying to use the system.
