When running the AmiScrobbler plugin data is being submitted to the Audioscrobbler servers at a regular interval. Based on this you get a personal statistics page. The system will eventually give you suggestions about music that you might appreciate based on what other people with the same taste as you are listening too. Your privacy is protected by the following measures: * Your e-mail address is secret and never displayed publicly. * IP addresses are not stored in any database. * The plugin does not send data about what data-format you are listening too. It is not possible to tell whether it is an MP3, OGG or Audio CD that you are listening too. * Anonymous statistics are extracted from the webserver logs after which they are destroyed. * The protocol and plugin source code are open. If you want to verify exactly what kind of information the plugin sends to the server you are free to read the source code. Installation ------------ Unpack in your AmigaAMP plugin-dir. Usage ----- Register for an account at http://www.audioscrobbler.com/. As soon as it has been activated you can run AmiScrobbler. When starting the plugin it will ask you for your login information, after which the plugin takes care of everything else. Songs are submitted either after you have listened to 50% of it or 240s, whichever comes first. Songs shorter than 30 seconds or longer than 30 minutes are not submitted to the server. If you run the plugin from your AmigaAMP plugin menu the icon will not be displayed.
