Short: Brushes collection from Linux Author: Various (unknown) Uploader: Leo Davidson for Tony Matthews Type: pix/icon Requires: Any Amiga (Graphics card + extra memory recommended) Architecture: generic DESCRIPTION: ------------ This archive contains a number of brushes that I have downloaded from various Linux sites and converted to IFF ILBMs for use with Directory Opus. The quality of these brushes is generally very good (with the odd dire one thrown in for good luck!). They will mainly be of use to graphic card owners running high resolution, high colour (e.g. 16/24 bit) screens, as the brushes are large (48x48 pixels mostly) are colourfull (most brushes use 50 to 150 colours and they do not share a common palette). I also converted them to NewIcons, for use as drive icons, but I have not included them due to space requirements. To convert them yourself I recommend the DT2NI program, available on Aminet. I set up a Dopus menu item to convert the entire directory at once. :) If anyone can't manage this themselves (shame on you!) then e-mail me and I'll consider uploading a separate archive of the icons. I have found that these icons look particularly good when used on a Dopus Start Button (similar to the Windows start button). I have included a snapshot of my workbench screen with the start menu activated to show you how sexy your workbench could look. BUY DIRECTORY OPUS MAGELLAN! You'll wonder how you ever lived without it (for example - I created a menu item to convert all of the brushes to NewIcons in about 30 seconds then simply selected the names and then the menu item. click... Done!) COPYRIGHT --------- As far as I know all of these brushes are freeware, obtained from a number of different sites. I do not claim ownership of them in any way, I have simply collected and converted them for my own use. Hope that they are of some use (I would welcome any e-mail). Tony. (p.s. Hello Anna!)
